Customer Care

Delivery, set-up and test firing of BBQs & Patio Heaters

We do not clean barbecues

Service Area:
  • North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Vancouver, Burnaby, Deep Cove, Lions Bay, Squamish, Whistler, Pemberton, abbotsford, chilliwack, maple ridge
  • Sorry, we do not clean barbecues.
  • We do not design custom barbecues nor do we recommend building your own grill for safety reasons.
  • We proudly service what we sell.

Labour Rates: (basic rates)

In Shop Service

  • $30 Diagnostic Fee (paid before work is performed)
  • $60 hr (billed in 15 min increments)
  • N/C 90 day Warranty labour *

We currently do not offer in-home service at this time

We will make our best effort to repair import barbecues and patio heaters but we offer no guarantees on reparability. (in-shop only)
* Products must of been purchased from Johnstone's
* Non-stocking replacement parts may take upto one month to arrive at our store (if sooner we will let you know)
Please be aware that we cannot guarantee the arrival of parts and repair time of the barbecue.

In Shop Labour Rates for Conversion:(replacement factory parts only)

We are able to convert most barbecues to another gas type. We can only do this if the manufacturer has replacment parts to do so.
From LP to NG / NG to LP
  • $60 Weber Full size BBQ (PRE 2007)
  • $60 Broil King Full Size without side or rear burner
  • $70 Broil King Full Size with side or rear burner
  • $80 Vermont Casting Full size BBQ’S
  • $90 other makes of BBQ’S
  • $5.00 Shop supplies charge

We reserve the right to change labour rates without notice and on the spot depending on condition of unit and work required. 

Please note that many barbecues are not convertible.
eg: All 2007 and newer Weber Genesis and Weber Summit Gas grills cannot be converted.

Our Pricing Policy


We are a ‘fair market Dealer’ all of the prices that have been marked as JOHNSTONE’S PRICE have been priced most competitively. WE do not believe in ‘Negotiations back and forth over the final price’. This is company policy, it has been adopted by us so every customer will have the very best price all year round and at the same time allow Johnstone’s to stay in business to serve you in the future. You can feel confident when you buy from us.

Parts Purchasing Policy

Special order parts, payment in full is required before ordering and is non-refundable and non-returnable.
Stocking parts can be returned with NO restocking charge.

Warranty 
Parts purchased from our store have a 90 day Replacement Warranty. 
Claims are limited to the original purchaser and receipt is required.
